Bonus-only formula
If the wagering requirement applies only to the bonus, a 20× requirement on a $50 bonus would imply $1,000 of qualifying wagering, subject to game-contribution rules.
If the wagering requirement applies only to the bonus, a 20× requirement on a $50 bonus would imply $1,000 of qualifying wagering, subject to game-contribution rules.
If the same 20× requirement applies to a $50 deposit plus $50 bonus, the base becomes $100 and the nominal wagering becomes $2,000. That is why the formula matters.
If a game contributes only 10% toward wagering, $100 staked on that game may count as only $10 of qualifying wagering. Operators define these rules individually.
Bonus terms may cap the permitted stake while wagering is active. A user should check this before playing.
A wagering target that appears mathematically achievable can become impractical if the time window is short.
The requirement describes qualifying play, not expected profit. Completing the requirement does not guarantee a positive outcome.
| Example | Formula | Nominal qualifying wager |
|---|---|---|
| $50 bonus, 20× bonus | 50 × 20 | $1,000 |
| $50 deposit + $50 bonus, 20× D+B | 100 × 20 | $2,000 |
| $50 bonus, 30× bonus | 50 × 30 | $1,500 |
| $100 bonus, 10× bonus | 100 × 10 | $1,000 |
A nominal wagering target is only the first calculation. If a $1,000 target is met using a game that contributes 100%, $1,000 of stakes counts toward completion. If the game contributes 20%, reaching the same $1,000 qualifying target would require $5,000 of actual stakes, assuming the terms permit that game and contribution rate throughout.
| Qualifying target | Game contribution | Actual stake needed to produce that contribution |
|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | 100% | $1,000 |
| $1,000 | 50% | $2,000 |
| $1,000 | 20% | $5,000 |
A wagering requirement describes how much qualifying play must occur; it does not say how much money will remain afterward. Game margin, volatility and session outcomes still apply. A mathematically reachable rollover target can therefore be economically unattractive or may be lost before completion.
Advertising guidance treats wagering requirements as significant conditions in gambling promotions. The worked examples on this page are arithmetic illustrations rather than operator-specific terms. Always verify the actual promotion terms and the current legal status in the relevant jurisdiction.
Review the promotion terms, eligibility rules, wagering requirements and withdrawal conditions before continuing.
